The Greater Columbus Convention Center is also conveniently located in Downtown Columbus, on the edge of the Short North Arts District. The center underwent a major renovation in 2017, expanding its total exhibit space to 1.8 million square feet. The convention center boasts a modern design and features cutting-edge technology, making it a premier destination for conventions, trade shows, and special events.
Columbus’ riverfront area, the Scioto Mile, started as an initiative to transform the Downtown riverfront area. The project involved creating new parks, pathways, and attractions along the Scioto River, including the iconic fountain at Bicentennial Park. The Scioto Mile has since become a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering stunning views of the city and a variety of outdoor activities and events including the annual Columbus Arts Festival and Red White & Boom.
