Olde Towne East is a historic neighborhood located just east of Columbus. With a rich history dating back to the mid-1800s, this area is known for its beautiful Victorian-era homes and stunning architecture, as well as its diverse community and vibrant culture.
The neighborhood is home to a mix of long-time residents and young professionals, creating a unique blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. Over the years, Olde Towne East has undergone a revitalization effort that has brought new businesses, restaurants, and entertainment options to the area, while still maintaining its historical significance. Local landmarks include the Kwanzaa Playground at English Park and the E.T Paul Company, the oldest tire dealership in America. Newer projects include the East Market, a mixed use space in a renovated brick trolley bar.
Olde Towne East is also home to the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, a beautiful 88-acre park featuring a wide variety of plants and gardens, including a stunning indoor conservatory with tropical and desert plants. Visitors can also enjoy a butterfly habitat, waterfalls, and several walking paths.
